Tonight it took 90 minutes for me to cross the bay bridge. I was in SF, and they blocked off all onramps except one one-lane onramp. All traffic out of SF going east had to go on one lane. That's why I'm up at this hour on a school night.
Thing is, I have plans to go into SF tomorrow too. I don't want to wait in bridge traffic again tomorrow.
Any suggestions how I can cut down my waiting to get on the bridge time?

Fri, April 4, 2008 - 10:06 AMI like what Magneto did in the X-men movie (2nd? 3rd?), bending the bridge over. But I don't think that was helpful for the commute. Still, it's worth a try. -

Tue, April 8, 2008 - 7:14 PMtraffic is a state of mind, and a function of how big and rugged your vehicle is.
get one of them fancy monster trucks with the 8' wheels, and just drive to work like you normally do, without the trappings of ordinary traffic and its puny laws. -

Wed, April 9, 2008 - 6:46 AMOnce again, I find myself pointing out the obvious. Stay home.
What's so important that you have to go to the city?
Cancel whatever it is, stay home, stay in bed, look at your walls. No reason to go out. Any time you "need" to go into the city, just repeat this. You don't need to excuse yourself to anyone. People don't have to understand. It's all about your comfort. Bed is good. City is bad. -
